From Screening to Care: PFMECT, ISBR and Healthcare Partners Join Hands for Student Health

Students spend long hours with laptops, smartphones and digital screens while balancing academic and professional commitments. In that setting, preventive campus healthcare matters because it can surface concerns early and connect people to the right follow-up pathway. On 26 September 2026 at ISBR Business School, Electronic City, Bengaluru, PFMECT worked with ISBR Business School, Narayana Health and The Oxford Dental College to run a campus screening camp focused on early identification and referral.

Eye Health	137 screenings, 32 referrals
Dental Health	55 screenings, 9 referrals

Total outcome	41 students and faculty members were identified for further clinical care.

137 Eye Screenings: Looking Beyond Screen Fatigue

Long hours on laptops and smartphones have become part of everyday academic life. In that context, eye screening serves a practical preventive role: it helps identify visual concerns early, when follow-up can still be straightforward and more accessible. The eye health component of this camp was delivered with Narayana Health and focused on screening rather than diagnosis-heavy claims.

The camp recorded 137 eye screenings and 32 referrals. The referral areas included uncorrected refractive errors, digital screen fatigue/dry eyes, and astigmatism.

55 Dental Screenings: Making Oral Health Part of Student Well-being

Oral health is often overlooked until discomfort becomes hard to ignore. Preventive dental screening helps bring that conversation earlier, making it easier for students and faculty to understand when further attention may be useful. The dental component of the camp was supported by The Oxford Dental College, Bengaluru.

The camp recorded 55 dental screenings and 9 referrals. The referral areas included caries/cavities, professional ultrasonic scaling, and wisdom-tooth advisories.

All 41 referred beneficiaries receive Priority OPD Access and Discounted Treatment at Narayana Health and Oxford Dental College hospital facilities.
