An Indian public charitable trust with a national vision and grassroots commitment.

Premwati Fakirchand Memorial Educational & Charitable Trust (PFMECT) was established in 2026 to address systemic gaps in education, healthcare, and community development. We operate through institutional partnerships — collaborating with schools, hospitals, government bodies, corporate CSR programmes, and community volunteers to deliver programmes that are transparent, measurable, and built to last.

Unlike event-driven organisations, we invest in long-term programme architecture. Every initiative is designed with communities, delivered through trained local volunteers, and reported quarterly to all stakeholders.

Systemic challenges in education and healthcare demand systemic solutions.

India’s progress masks persistent inequities. In underserved peri-urban and rural communities, children leave school for economic reasons, women forgo preventive care, and youth lack structured pathways to opportunity. These gaps don’t close through isolated interventions — they require sustained institutional commitment.

32M+ children in India out of school, predominantly from marginalised communities (UNESCO 2023)
70% of healthcare expenditure in India is out-of-pocket, pushing vulnerable families deeper into poverty (WHO)
1 in 4 adolescent girls drop out before secondary school due to economic and social barriers (UNICEF)

Voices from the communities we serve

Young girl who benefited from PFMECT learning support

I used to miss school often because my younger brother was unwell and there was no one to guide us. After joining the learning support group and attending health sessions, our home became calmer. I now attend school daily, and my mother helps other women in our lane access checkups.

Student studying in community learning space

I was the first in my family to attend regular tuition support. With the study centre, I stopped dropping out during exams. Now I help younger children revise and stay consistent. The mentors made me feel I could lead.

Women participating in health awareness programme

Before, we ignored health problems until they became serious. After the awareness sessions, women in our lane started regular checkups. We now guide others to nearby clinics. Being a volunteer gave me confidence I never had.
